Why we're here

Ownership should feel rewarding—not uncertain.

Owning or operating property in Baja California Sur often means making important decisions from a distance. Information can be fragmented, vendors difficult to evaluate, and small issues easy to miss until they become expensive ones.

Marmac Living exists to replace that uncertainty with professional management, clear communication, and a dependable local operating presence.

Operating principles

Professional systems. Personal accountability.

01

Clarity before reassurance

Owners and boards should be able to see what is happening, what requires attention, and what comes next.

02

Local presence, documented work

Relationships matter locally, but every inspection, approval, decision, and expense should also be accountable.

03

Professional systems, personal service

Institutional discipline should make service more responsive and personal—not more distant.

The operating posture

Principal-led, bilingual, and locally grounded.

Marmac combines experience across community management, residential operations, owner services, and hospitality with a practical understanding of the systems and relationships that make Baja properties work.

When you work with Marmac, you work with its principals.

Marmac Living is led directly by its founders. There is no call center and no rotating account manager—the people who commit to your community or home are the people who answer for it.

Jamie McCafferty

Jamie founded and led Excellence Community Management, one of Nevada’s largest community management firms, growing it to more than 33,000 doors under management across Nevada and Southern California. Her work spanned HOA and property management as well as developer services — community budgeting, governing documents, building internal operating teams, and developer-to-HOA transitions.

Her connection to Baja runs deeper than business. Her uncle, surfing legend and artist Mike Doyle, made San José del Cabo his home for more than forty years — the Mike Doyle Surf School at the Cabo Surf Hotel still carries his name — and shared his love of Mexico with the whole family. Jamie has called Los Cabos home for more than a decade.

Jorge Martinez

Jorge began his career operating his family's real estate, hospitality, and entertainment businesses, with properties throughout Mexico and the United States — an education in large-scale, detail-intensive operations. Trained in law and finance at Tecnológico de Monterrey, he also holds a master's degree in real estate finance from New York University, giving him the legal, financial, and regulatory fluency that ownership and development in Mexico require.

Most recently, Jamie and Jorge together led operations for one of Los Cabos' most recognized destination communities, serving more than 700 families — building its rental program from the ground up, leading an in-house sales division that set project sales records, and managing HOA and property operations. Marmac Living continues that work, with the same standards applied across Los Cabos, the East Cape, and beyond.
